Mbali Christina is a beauty creator,

creative director, and academic artist

based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Her distinguished trajectory in the beauty

industry began at the age of seventeen

as a freelance artist, later evolving into her

recognition as a leading digital beauty

creator in 2020. Parallel to her practical

artistry, Christina formalised her expertise

by completing her studies in Theatre

Design and Performance at the

University of Witwatersrand.

Her academic pursuit rapidly propelled

her into a tenure as a Theatre Design

lecturer at the Wits School of Arts at her

alma mater. In this role, she supervised

students within the Design department,

distinguishing herself as one of the

youngest sessional lecturers in the

department. Following her time in

academia, Christina identified a profound

void within the South African beauty

landscape: a distinct lack of rigorous,

technical beauty education accessible to

the everyday enthusiast. Leveraging her

specialized background in editorial

makeup artistry and pedagogical

framework, she founded DEMYSTIFY—

a premium beauty education platform

intentionally engineered to dismantle

"beginner intimidation."

Christina is driven by one mission: to

bridge the gap between innate potential

and professional execution.

She is deeply dedicated to transforming

the application of makeup from a routine

task into an elevated, empowering ritual

of self-affirmation and self-love.
